Contents of the program
Globalization and national protectionism, international trade conflicts, financial crises, global pandemics, climate change and foreign policy conflicts pose enormous business challenges, especially for companies operating internationally.
At the same time, the number of companies establishing or expanding foreign activities due to strategic necessities is constantly increasing. In view of the turbulent environment and the particular problems, internationalization options for companies offer strategic solutions in a highly competitive environment, but also entail considerable risks and pitfalls.
The successful management of an international company requires not only traditional business administration and management skills, but also specific knowledge of the particularities of international business activities, foreign language skills and intercultural competencies.
The Master's degree course in International Management prepares students for precisely these challenges. The focus is on the activities of Western European companies in Central and Eastern European countries (and vice versa). In addition, current developments such as the increasing importance of the BRICS countries (Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa) and the currently observable global and regional integration and disintegration trends are also addressed.
