Regulars' table for female students and employees of the ING School
Table of contents
The Equal Opportunities Team of the School of Engineering Sciences would like to offer female and male students of the School of Engineering Sciences an opportunity to network away from the lecture hall and desk. The connectING regulars' table takes place three times a semester. From the winter semester 2012/2013 to the winter semester 2021/2022, a large number of regulars' tables on changing topics and with various institute visits have already been successfully held under the umbrella of the SFB/Transregio 96 and the Faculty of Mechanical Science and Engineering. Since the 2017/2018 winter semester, the students have been meeting under the name connectING. It was also decided to open up individual events to men, for example on the topic of balancing family and career. Since the summer semester 2023, the connectING regulars' table has been continued as an event of the School of Engineering Sciences.

SustainING. socially and environmentally responsible engineering
At the center of all events is the question of one's own disciplinary and professional responsibility. The aim is to relate the engineering/technical sciences, which are strongly influenced by techno-economics and male dominance, to social and ecological sustainability requirements, to create opportunities for interdisciplinary exchange and to open up protected spaces in order to address inequalities, experiences of disadvantage and exclusion, mostly of female, multiple-discriminated persons, as starting points for change.
