From January 1 to December 31 this year, Dr. Andrea Augsten will be a visiting professor at the TUD as part of the Eleonore Trefftz Programme. At the Chair of Industrial Design Engineering in the Faculty of Mechanical Science and Engineering, the passionate graduate designer is researching the topics of human-centred design and twin transition and is taking over the management of the corresponding research group. She is also dedicated to the further development of future-relevant topics on sustainable and digital change in the field of human-centred organisational and technological development. Augsten completed her doctorate at the University of Wuppertal. In her previous research, she has dealt with questions of design practice in relation to organisational change, innovation ecosystems and policy design, including at Volkswagen. She is a board member of the German Society for Design Theory and Research and a member of the Club of Rome's Think Tank 30.
