Faculty of Computer Science - Prizes for excellent teaching
The Faculty Student Council of Computer Science has honored the best lecturers in Computer Science. All students of the faculty were invited to vote. The prizes were presented by Helene Hausmann and Eliah Lohr.
Best compulsory course
The best compulsory course was the lecture "Introduction to Mathematics for Computer Scientists: Linear Algebra", which impresses with its clear structure, easy-to-use materials and close integration of lecture and exercise. The prize was accepted by Prof. Ulrike Baumann, Dr. Antje Noack and Dr. Christian Zschalig
Best compulsory elective course
"Compiler Construction" was awarded the prize for the best elective course. The lecture builds on compulsory content in an understandable way and also conveys complex topics in a clear and practical manner. Prof. Jeronimo Castrillón and Dr. Lars Schütze accepted the award.
Best lecture
Otto Soyka was awarded the prize for the best tutorial. His exercise on "Computer Architecture" impressed with its high level of motivation, patience and well-founded communication of the content.
