Faculty of Mechanical Science and Engineering 2024
The prize for innovation in teaching at the Faculty of Mechanical Science and Engineering was awarded to Prof. Christiane Thomas, holder of the Schaufler Professorship for Refrigeration, Cryogenics and Compressor Technology. The Faculty Student Council of Mechanical Engineering praised Prof. Thomas' creative teaching and her communication at eye level with the students.
Faculty of Electrical and Computer Engineering 2024
Dr. Denise Gruner, Group Leader (Associate) at the Institute of Semiconductors and Microsystems Engineering, Chair of Microsystems Engineering, received the sponsorship award for special teaching achievements at the Faculty of Electrical and Computer Engineering from the "Freunde und Förderer der Fakultät E&I e.V." association.in Gruner has made a remarkable and extraordinary achievement over the last two years in setting up the "Biomedical Engineering" degree program by independently designing, organizing and implementing the lecture and practical course in "Clinical Analytical Measurement Technology" (KLAMT) at the highest level.
Dr. Robert Fischbach, Research Associate at the Institute of Electrical Power Engineering and Electronic Design, Device Development course, received the award for special teaching achievements at the Faculty ofElectrical and Computer Engineering and Information Technology from the association "Freunde und Förderer der Fakultät E&I e.V." due to his extraordinary commitment to student teaching through the implementation and ongoing improvement of the OPAL tool for self-assessment of existing knowledge.
Faculty of Computer Science 2024
As part of the OUTPUT.DD event, the Faculty Student Council of Computer Science honored the best teachers in the faculty. All students of the faculty were invited to vote.
The teaching award for the best teacher at the Faculty of Computer Science went to Prof. Dr. Florian Tschorsch for his very understandable lecture style, his special didactic skills, his slide design and his "very cool and super nice manner" in dealing with the students.
Two courses were selected as the best courses at the Faculty of Computer Science: "Formal Systems" and "Theoretical Computer Science and Logic". Prof. Dr. Markus Krötzsch and Dr. Stephan Mennicke received the teaching award for their good and committed teaching and for the fact that they convey every subject matter in an exciting and humorous way.
The Chair of Operating Systems and thus Prof. Dr-Ing. Horst Schirmeier and his team were awarded the teaching prize as the best Chair in the Faculty of Computer Science. It was emphasized that every course is planned and implemented in the best possible way and that the course content is explained very clearly and well. The great support for the students at all times was also honored.
