Hector Science Award 2026
The Hector Foundation II is dedicated to the long-term promotion of teaching, scholarship
and research in the STEM disciplines. As part of this initiative, the Hector
Science Prize is awarded annually to particularly
qualified and active academics. The prize-winners are appointed as Hector Fellows and admitted as members of the Hector Fellow Academy.
You have the opportunity to nominate a professor from your institution for the
Hector Science Prize. The candidate you propose must demonstrate outstanding achievements in research and teaching in one of the disciplines of mathematics, computer science, engineering, natural sciences or medicine. The prize winners are appointed as Hector Fellows and admitted as members of the Hector Fellow Academy. The Hector Science Prize is endowed with €150,000 and is at the laureate’s free disposal.
Tenured professors in mathematics, computer science, engineering, the natural sciences (including psychology) or medicine who have achieved exceptional results in research and teaching may be nominated.
