Spin-offs
Knowledge and technology transfer are of great importance to the ECE Faculty. Since the 1990s, several dozen companies have been continuously founded out of the ECE faculty, which now employ an estimated 800 people. While the focus in the past was on knowledge-based start-ups with an emphasis on ICT, technology-based start-up activities can now also be observed to a greater extent. Furthermore, we have succeeded in making technology- and knowledge-based startups an attractive career option for our young scientists.
