Successful participation in the IEEE EMBC 2025 and BMT 2025 with several contributions
Participation in the IEEE EMBC 2025 (Dr. Martin Schmidt, Andreas Döcke, Nico Stecher, Anke Tschirschky)
The Institute of Biomedical Engineering (IBMT) participated in this year's 47th Annual International Conference of the IEEE Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society (short: IEEE EMBC 2025) in Copenhagen 🇩🇰 with two presentations and two posters.
#Poster: Predobarographic Gait Analysis of Adolescent Idiopathic Scoliosis with Brace Treatment by Anke Tschirschky
#Poster: Scoliosis Assessment Depending on Curve Magnitude Based on Torsobarography and Machine Learning by Nico Stecher
#Talk: Contribution of Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation to Overall Gas Exchange in a Porcine Model of Lung Injury by Andreas Döcke
#SpecialSession (EU AI Act): Making AI Models Transparent for Clinical Decision Support by Dr. Martin Schmidt
The conference papers are available here (expected December 2025).
Furthermore, the IBMT was also represented at this year's Joint Conference of the Swiss (SSBE), Austrian (ÖGBMT) and German (VDE DGBMT) Societies for Biomedical Engineering (short: BMT 2025) in Muttenz/Basel 🇨🇭 with a presentation and a poster.
#Poster: Continuous Monitoring of Carbon Dioxide Removal of Native and Membrane Lung in a Porcine Model of Lung Injury by Andreas Döcke
#Talk: Brace Effects on Spartiotemporal Gait Parameters from Pedobarography in Adolescent Idiopathic Scoliosis by Anke Tschirschky
The abstract book is available here (August 30, 2025).
