DeGAG Congress 2026: Young Investigator Award for Matthieu Scherpf

Congratulations to Matthieu Scherpf on receiving the Young Investigator Award from the German Society for Arterial Stiffness (DeGAG)
At this year’s DeGAG Congress in Vienna, Matthieu Scherpf presented the latest findings from his most recent publication on the estimation of systolic blood pressure changes using photoplethysmography and won first prize in the Young Investigator Award for his work. Estimating blood pressure changes is a core research area of the Institute for Biomedical Engineering, and this technology is intended for future use in mobile applications both within and outside the clinical setting. This research is being advanced, among other initiatives, through the BMFTR project KOMVITAL.
