"Night of Biosignals" on November 7, 2025 at TU Dresden - experience research up close!
On November 7, 2025, the second "Night of Biosignals" will take place simultaneously at 14 university locations in Germany from 5 to 11 pm. The Institute of Biomedical Engineering (IBMT) at TU Dresden is also inviting interested members of the public to experience science up close on this evening. In a variety of presentations and at interactive hands-on stations, IBMT researchers will take guests on a journey into the fascinating world of biosignals. They will show how the complex signals of our body are used in medical research, diagnostics and therapy.
The event will be opened at 5 p.m. by Dr. Martin Schmidt, head of the Biosignal Processing working group at the IBMT. This will be followed by four presentations over the course of the evening that will provide exciting insights into current research projects: from artificial intelligence in ECG diagnostics and the transformation of sleep medicine through wearables to new, radiation-free diagnostic procedures for scoliosis and innovative applications of ultrasound for measuring intracranial pressure.
With this program, the "Night of Biosignals" offers all visitors the opportunity to experience research first-hand, talk to experts and become active themselves.
All lectures are free of charge and accessible without registration. They will take place in the Fetscherforum (1st floor) of the IBMT, Fetscherstrasse 29, 01307 Dresden. The event is organized by the VDE DGBMT Technical Committee Biosignals.
