MEDICAL SIGNAL AND IMAGE PROCESSING

In the field of medical signal processing, the Chair has many years of experience in EEG signal analysis. The aim of the investigations is a realiable indentification of the condition of epilepsy patients prior to seizure. In the fields of neuro- and cardiac surgery, the use of thermography for imaging is being researched.
RESEARCH OF NOVEL NANOSTRUC­TURES

Based on novel nanostructures, memristors and memristive structures are modelled, and memristive circuits are analysed and simulated.
DEVELOPMENT OF HIGHLY PARALLEL CELLULAR PROCESSOR STRUCTURES

Based on cellular non-linear networks (CNN), highly parallel digital processor structures are developed and implemented.

Research

The working group’s research focuses on methods for modelling and simulation of complex systems, primarily electronic circuits. Based on the basic theoretical assessment of the properties of such systems, the dynamic behaviour in particular is used in the investigations for the development of methods for information processing.
