Theory of measurement systems, modelling, simulation
Projects in the field of theory of measurement systems involve the model-based analysis of measurement systems, with the focus on laser-optical, optoelectronic and ultrasound-based measurement systems. This includes the following tasks, which can be worked on individually or in combination according to individual arrangement:
- Modelling:
- Devising of model equations
- Modeling of perturbances, e.g. noise
- Model verification by calculation (analytic or numeric)
- Model validation by measurement - Simulation:
- Model implementation in a simulation environment (Matlab) - Model based measurement system analysis:
- Design of a measurement setup
- Measurement uncertainty estimation (analytic or numeric)
- Measurement uncertainty evaluation (measurement uncertainty budget)
- Identification and calculation of measurement uncertainty limits (Cramér-Rao-boundary) - Validation:
- experimental assessment of the calculations
