Introduction Professor Wolter
We are pleased to introduce the new holder of the Chair of Networked Energy Systems (formerly Chair of Electrical Power Supply). Today, on September 1, Prof. Dr.-Ing. habil. Martin Wolter takes up his post at TU Dresden.
He began his academic career at Leibniz Universität Hannover, where he worked as a Research Associate at the Institute of Power Supply and High Voltage Engineering from 2006 to 2008 and obtained his doctorate in 2008. From 2008 to 2011, he held the position of Senior Academic Engineer there and completed his habilitation in 2012. He then took over the management of the Operational Principles and Concept Development department at 50Hertz Transmission GmbH in Berlin (2011-2015). Since 2015, he has been Professor and Chair of Electrical Grids and Renewable Energy at Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg.
With his many years of experience in science and practice, Prof. Wolter brings valuable expertise to our department. We are excited to see what new accents he will set and what developments will result for research and teaching. We warmly welcome Prof. Wolter and look forward to shaping the coming semesters together.
