Modular Operation
Introduction
The Modular Operation group investigates concepts for the operation of modular systems. We pursue the vision of how digitization and semantic descriptions can be used to increase the adaptability, flexibility and robustness of systems. The goal is to be able to realize and operate process plants according to the Plug & Produce principle.
Research Focus:
- How can interactions of distributed systems be modeled to realize efficient planning and operation?
- How can flexible distributed safety systems be designed and operated and respond dynamically to risks in a plant?
