Prof. Dr. rer. nat. Caroline Murawski
Caroline Murawski is Professor of Biomedical Sensor Technology at the Institute of Solid State Electronics (IFE) since 01/07/2024. She is a proven scientist with core research areas in the development of flexible and miniaturized biomedical sensors based on organic semiconductor devices. Her work is highly interdisciplinary and combines electrical engineering and biomedicine with physics and chemistry. In particular, she researches optoelectronic components for the stimulation and detection of neurons using optogenetics and fluorescence imaging. For biological investigations, she mainly uses fruit flies as a model organism for genetics and uses them for measurements in vivo and in vitro.
