M.Sc. Rabiul Islam
Research associate at the Chair of Biomedical Sensor Technology
Rabiul Islam completed his Master’s degree in Materials Science at Technische Universität Darmstadt, Germany, where he specialized in the fabrication and electrical characterization of organic neuromorphic memory devices. In December 2021, he began his PhD at KSI Meinsberg, Germany and later continued at the Institute of Solid-State Electronics, TU Dresden. His research focuses on organic photodiodes (OPDs) for detecting faint fluorescence signals from biological samples, particularly under low-light conditions. His doctoral work covers the development of flexible OPDs with advanced encapsulation strategies to improve device stability and lifetime in aquas environemnt. In addition, he works on designing high-performance red-sensitive narrowband OPDs.
