Welcome Robert

Robert earned his Ph.D. in electrical engineering at TU Dresden in 2017. His thesis on interferometry in harsh environments was awarded prizes by the Gisela und Erwin SICK Foundation as well as the Dr.-Ing. Siegfried Werth Foundation. Since 2017, he has worked on miniaturizing fiber endoscopes by means of holography, programmable optics, artificial intelligence, and 3D printing. Robert joined the group in 2026 as a Group Leader to transfer these advances into biomedical practice in the field of endodontics.
