Outstanding Poster Award at the conference "JNSRE" 2021
Energy harvesting is the key technology when it comes to supplying future IoT (Internet of Things) devices energy self-sufficiently. Miniaturized generators convert ambient energy such as vibrations into electrical energy and replace primary energy cells. This reduces electronic waste caused by empty battery cells or sensor systems and increases maintenance intervals. In order to be able to use the energy gained, so-called interface circuits are necessary. Maxim Germer from the Chair of Microsystems developed an innovative circuit for energy conversion, which is characterized by a significantly higher efficiency and a more compact design compared to conventional circuits. The committee of the JNRSE 2021, which usually takes place in France, selected this work with the "Outstanding Poster Award".
