Light barrier based chemical sensor
Chemical sensors
Technical data:
Principle of measurement: | Light barrier |
Sensitive base: | Hydrogels |
Data acquisition: | Multimeter/PC |
Data evaluation: | PC |
Interfaces: | Serial |
Applications
The industry is always looking for cheap in situ capable chemical sensors, which are suitable for performing of quality control or definition of process state. In the first work the Sensor with principle of light barrier is construed for measurements of alcohol concentrations. But generally monitoring of other substances in liquids like:
- Acids
- Bases
- Salts
is possible too.
Research
Using contactless measurement principle the hydrogels can be characterized with their specific parameters. Due to linear dependence of acquisition signal versus hydrogel swell degree the kinetics in swell and deswell proceedings can be researched for particular measurement agent and temperature niveau.
