My experiences with the study programme NES
Students of the Master's programme in "Nanoelectronic Systems" will learn methods, techniques and tools for the design, manufacture, and application of nanoelectronic devices and systems. They will become familiar with the latest research and developments in these subject areas.
Some hints for future NES students
I would like to suggest that all future NES students take full advantage of this program and focus on mastering the fundamentals. It is essential for students to attend lectures and explore various areas of interest. Engaging in research and practical projects is also highly beneficial, as it not only helps students stay updated with advancements but also provides opportunities for internships or work experiences in the industry. Furthermore, it is crucial for students to enjoy the journey and make the most of their time at the University.
Job chances
The job prospects after graduating from the NES programme are excellent. Dresden, being the epicenter of Silicon Saxony, offers a wide range of opportunities in all three key areas of nanoelectronic systems. I personally began my journey in the industry as an intern, then went on to collaborate on a master's thesis between the University and Infineon, and eventually became a full-time employee. I believe that the future of the semiconductor industry is very promising, and we are already witnessing a high demand for young talents. I wish all the students the very best.
