Apply now to study at TU Dresden: Two new Bachelors, new international Masters, new names
Since June 1, prospective students have once again been able to apply for their desired degree program at TU Dresden. With over 120 degree programs, TU Dresden offers a wide range of options for all high school graduates and bachelor’s degree holders.
New to the TUD’s program catalog is the master’s program in Mobility Systems. The former master’s program in Geoinformation Technologies will be offered starting in the winter semester exclusively in English under the title Geoinformatics. Six other master’s programs have changed their names, for example, to describe course content more precisely or to respond to new scientific and societal developments. For instance, the former master’s program in Waste Management and Contaminated Site Treatment is now called Circular Economy and Resource Efficiency.
All other changes for the 2026/27 winter semester can be found here: https://tu-dresden.de/sins/neues-zum-ws.
Once you have found the right degree program in the study information system, you can then apply online. For all undergraduate degree programs and subjects with limited admission (especially in teacher education), the deadline is July 15, 2026. The exact timeline from application to the start of studies can be found here.
As one of eleven Universities of Excellence in Germany, TUD not only offers outstanding research—with its own quality management system for studies and teaching, it also strives to provide an excellent experience for its students. In the CHE University Ranking 2026/27, TUD holds top positions in the degree programs for Business Administration and Economics, Industrial Engineering and Management, and Business Information Systems.
