Joint Workshop "HAEC meets InvasIC"
For two days, 17.01.2017 until the 18.01.2017, a joint workshop of the collaborative research center 912 - Highly Adaptive Energy-Efficient Computing (short HAEC) and the collaborative research center/Transregio 89 - Invasive Computing (short TCRC 89) took place.
In the wonderfull surrounding of Dresden, near to the Dresden Castles and the river Elbe, the staff of both crcs came together in the beautifull „Schloss Eckberg“, where lively scientifical exchanges between them took place.
Prof. Gerhard Fettweis as well as Prof. Jürgen Teich inaugurated the meeting as speakers of the respective collaborative reseaerch centers. They gave some kind of overview talk in the early evening of the 17th of January and therewith explained their scientifical recognitions and questions. Afterwards discussions between the complete staff took place until midnight.
Then, on the 18th of January, the following day, the researchers started with a great breakfast. Following, each group presented fundamental summaries of their scientifical research to prepare the rest of the participants for productive discussions. Throughout the day specialist lectures regarding topics like energy efficiency and power stability as well as security and resilience took place.
Before the scientifical staff drove home in the late afternoon, the meeting ended with a wrap-up, where all results of the get together have been sumarized.
