AUTERAS AT THE LIGHT + BUILDING 2024

Prof. Klaus Kabitzsch and Bastian Wollschlaeger presented the AUTERAS planning tool and the AUTOSPY monitoring and diagnostics tool at the KNX joint stand at Light + Building in Frankfurt from March 3 - 8, 2024. Light + Building is a German trade fair for lighting and building technology. For the first time, the "Forum E-Handwerk" was a lecture forum especially for electricians and planners, which Prof. Klaus Kabitzsch enriched as a specialist speaker. In 30-minute intervals, the speakers provided information on current standards and regulations as well as new products and innovations. The content covered current developments in areas such as energy efficiency, sector coupling, electromobility and smart and safe solutions for buildings.

According to the German Building Energy Act (GEG), every non-residential building with a rated output of more than 290 kW must be equipped with a building automation system that enables digital energy monitoring (monitoring of consumption and efficiency losses) by December 31, 2024. In addition, this system must comply with automation level B in accordance with DIN V 18599-11: 2018-09 or better for a non-residential building to be constructed. 

Planning tools such as AUTERAS help to achieve this level of automation. Furthermore, these automation systems must undergo technical commissioning management, including the adjustment of the technical building systems, in order to ensure optimum operation.
