BUILDING BRIDGES 2025 – INTERNATIONAL AI CONGRESS WITH TUD EXPERTS ON SEPTEMBER 11 AND 12 IN DRESDEN
The Helmholtz-Zentrum Dresden-Rossendorf (HZDR) is organizing the third Building Bridges conference in close cooperation with the State Chancellery of Saxony. This established event has developed into an important forum for international exchange between research, politics and innovation.
From September 11 to 12, 2025 Building Bridges 2025 – Latest Findings in Artificial Intelligence will bring together leading researchers, also from TUD Dresden University of Technology as well as decision-makers and innovators from all over Europe. The Congress will be held in English at the Festspielhaus Hellerau in Dresden. It is geared towards an international audience of specialists from science, research and science management. Students are also very welcome to attend. Participation is free of charge.
This year's program includes keynotes and panel discussions on the topics of AI and health, AI and energy and AI and microelectronics. Experts from TUD will also be on hand to answer questions, as research into artificial intelligence is being conducted in several areas of TUD, including the Clusters of Excellence and as part of research projects in Principles of Life. Transforming Health Care or Microelectronics. Information Science. Transforming AI. The focus is on addressing the major global challenges of our time and beyond.
Prof. Ivo Sbalzarini, Chair of Scientific Computing for Systems Biology at TUD and Research Group Leader at the Max Planck Institute of Molecular Cell Biology and Genetics, and Prof. Martin Sedlmayr, Director of the Institute of Scientific Computing and Biometics (IMB) at TUD’s Carl Gustav Carus Faculty of Medicine, will be on the podium in the “AI & Health” session. Prof. Peter Schneider, Chair of Design Methods for Adaptive Microelectronic Systems at the Institute of Electromechanical and Electronic Design (IFTE) at TUD and Director of the Division Engineering of Adaptive Systems at the Fraunhofer Institute for Integrated Circuits IIS, will be participating in the “AI & Microelectronics” session.
