Research at the Chair of Computer Graphics and Visualisation
The research field of Visualization and visual Analysis aims at the visual analysis of large, dynamic data sets, as well as the interactive visual real-time exploration. Fields of application are molecular dynamics, thermodynamics, hydrodynamics, physics, cellular biology and systems biology. The focus of our work is on the development of software for interactive particle-based visualization systems.
The research field of Geometry Processing covers different aspects, including 3D scanning of static and dynamic scenes, mesh processing, automatic placement of viewing and lighting positions, path planning, fluid simulation, mesh compression and level-of-detail techniques.
The field of Scene Understanding works on the topics of scene acquisition, generation of synthetic trainings data sets, image search, object recognition, object localization and object tracking.
