Knowledge is a strategic resource that can be crucial for business success. Well-organized knowledge enables continuity in action and decision-making processes. It forms the organizational memory.
The aim of the research project is to address problems concerning the dimension of information technology of knowledge management. This is to be done by researching and developing a visual, collaborative multi-meeting protocol system (VISKOMMP) in the sense of an Organizational Memory Information System (OMIS). Such a system includes the phases of collection and generation, processing and usage of corporate knowledge. Within these stages there are challenges which, especially in the research area of human-computer interaction (MCI), expect solutions as well as untapped potentials. Natural User Interface (NUI) enables users to transfer everyday life skills into computer use thus creating the opportunity to reduce the learning effort and increase the usability of software. This positively counteracts hurdles in the collection of information. The subsequent processing and context-specific networking of this information based on a consistent corporate vocabulary makes knowledge accessible for a wider group of users.
