Welcome to the webpages of the Junior Professorship in Software Engineering of Ubiquitous Systems at the Faculty of Computer Science at the TU Dresden.

This professorship lies at the intersection of ubiquitous computing, human-computer interaction, and software engineering. Research includes the application of software engineering methods to ubiquitous systems as well as the integration of new technology trends and interaction techniques in the domain of ubiquitous systems.
In the field of teaching, basic principles for software engineering of ubiquitous systems are conveyed. This includes basics of perception psychology, usability and usability engineering, interaction techniques and interaction technologies, software engineering, basics of modelling and of course ubiquitous systems. These basics are taught not only on theoretical but also practical aspects.
In the field of research we focus on software engineering of ubiquitous systems and mobile devices as well as associated forms of interaction and interaction techniques for this type of environment.
Prof. Thomas Schlegel left the TU Dresden 2015 in order to become head of the init endowed Professorship for Public Transport at the University of Applied Science in Karlsruhe. Starting next winter semester 2016/17, the Junior Professorship Software Engineering of Ubiquitous Systems (SEUS) will provide no more course offerings.
