Offers for Student Works and Theses (SHK (Student Assistant) / Theses (BA, MA, DA, GB, FPA)) at the Chair of Software Technology
The energy systems of the near future will be very different from those of today, they will be more decentralized and will contain more distributed renewable energies, also energy supply and tariffs will look more diverse than today.
With the aim of the EU to be climate-neutral by 2050, lots of interesting works await bright minds. We, at the Chair of Software Technology, want to make our efforts and co-define the future energy systems. Thus, we are doing many exciting works in the field of energy from the aspect of computer scientists.
We are working with the cutting-edge technologies and have a strong connection with the developers behind the scenes. Thus, different topics are possible for several student works and theses, e.g., energy simulation and optimization; extension of language (e.g., Modelica/Dymola, Julia) and library specifications (e.g., TransiEnt).
For this highly interdisciplinary research field we are looking for students with different backgrounds. The concrete topic will be defined individually based on your experience and interest.
As benefits, you have the opportunity to dive into highly research-oriented fields as well as work with an interdisciplinary team. There are possibilities that your work could be contributed to part of our publications.
Requirements:
• You should currently be working toward a degree in computer science, energy technology, engineering/natural science, or a comparable course of study
• You should have basic knowledge of simulation and programming
• For SHK (German: Studentische Hilfskraft = English: Student Assistant): weekly working hours are from 5 – 19 possible (Salary ≈ €12 per hour)
The start is possible immediately. If you are interested, please contact us with your Transcript of Records, CV and most important your interest :)
