Robotic 5G Demonstrator
The Software Technology Group of Prof. Aßmann and the Communication Networks Group of Prof. Fitzek developed a robotic 5G demonstrator for the Deutsche Telekom, shown on the Mobile World Congress 2017 in Barcelona. The self-constructed robot can be controlled by intelligent clothes in telepresence scenarios. Furthermore, the operator can see the camera image of the robot in a Oculus VR Goggle. Head tracking enables complete immersion. This only works if you have low latency and high data rates.
