[*] Software Engineering for Robotics
Context:
Within the cluster of excellence CeTI, we investigate how to design software architectures for human-robot collaboration. We are offering topics for students looking for bachelor/master theses (MA/BA/DA) and internships (INF-PM-FPA, INF-PM-FPG).
Topics:
There is a wide range of application areas and topics. Individual topics will be offered considering your skills and requirements.
Research areas include
Controlling industrial robots in a collaborative scenario using the Robot Operating System (ROS) and other robotics framworks
Safety models for human-robot collaboration, including their specification (e.g., using Petri nets, process calculi, or conceptual models), verification, and integration into the architecture.
Context-adaptive robotic software.
In addition to these topics, there are other related fields of research we are interested in, such as immersive robot control and augmented reality or model-driven engineering and code generation approaches. And we are also looking for your ideas!
Contact:
To discuss individual thesis topics, please contact one of the advisors. Please include information about the kind of thesis you want to do and your knowledge and research interests. We will forward your request accordingly.
