The Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF) and the Internet Research Task Force (IRTF) are pivotal for open Internet protocols, applications, and services. We regularly contribute to the IETF and IRTF. Among other topics, we are involved in secure inter-domain routing, information-centric networking, and IoT communication.

We are founders and co-founders of several successful open source projects such as RIOT, the friendly operating system for the Internet of Things, and RTRlib, a library for BGP origin validation. We also contribute to other open source software to improve distributed and networked systems.

Our group aims for making its research results available to network operators, hoping that this will help to improve the Internet a little bit. We gratefully acknowledge all the support, such as RIPE RACI, that allows us to present our research to the network operator community.
