The chair for operating systems offers many possibilities to deepn your knowledge about about operating systems. In addition to the basic lecture, this includes several advanced lectures, labs and seminars. In our courses, you will gain insights into the depths of computer systems, the complexity and interrelationships of modern computers, and the elegance of microkernel-based systems.

Lectures, Seminars and Student Theses on Operating Systems
All lectures of the upcoming semester will be offered as usual. However, please sign up at the corresponding mailinglists so that we can reach you with news regarding the current situation.
We offer a number of lectures on Operating Systems. Our catalog not only contains our basic course, but also more advanced lectures which can be part of your main studies (Hauptstudium) or masters.
We offer labs and seminars that cover an introduction on systems programming as well as other Operating Syestem related topics. In addition we also provide a challenging lab where you have to implement OS services suche as drivers, scheduling and more in order to create a small game.
Student theses in the operating systems group are typically based on research activities. For an up-to-date list of currently available topics, please refer to here. However, proposing your own topics is also always welcome.
