The Faculty Welcomes Ivan Gudymenko as Adjunct Professor for Applied IT Security
We are pleased to welcome Ivan Gudymenko as Adjunct Professor for Applied IT Security. This newly established adjunct professorship is intended to strengthen collaboration with industry and enhance the practical orientation of both research and teaching in the field of IT security. Students will gain valuable insights into real-world practice, fostering exchange between industry and academia during their studies.
The research interests of Professor Gudymenko include privacy-enhancing technologies and future-proof IT security solutions. These topics complement and expand upon the existing research areas of the Chair of Privacy and Security and other professorships within the faculty.
Since 2015, Prof. Gudymenko has been working as an IT Security Consultant and Architect at Deutsche Telekom MMS GmbH. He serves as the technical lead for the innovation topics Confidential Computing and Self-Sovereign Identity, and is a member of the MMS Technology Board. From 2012 to 2015, he completed his doctorate at our faculty with a dissertation on Protection of the User’s Privacy in Ubiquitous E-ticketing Systems based on RFID and NFC Technologies. He also earned his master’s degree here in 2011, focusing on user privacy in RFID-based ubiquitous systems.
