Our research project IICoSeP will be funded!
Our research project "Increasing Industrial Communication Security by Physical Layer Security" (IICoSeP), which we applied for together with the German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence, the Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences and KMPC Innovations, was approved and could thus start on 01.01.2022.
The joint project IICoSeP addresses the protection of communication in the environment of the Industrial Internet of Things with the help of security primitives of the physical transmission layer. For this purpose, methods, concepts and architectures are developed and analyzed to secure the novel application fields such as machine-to-machine (M2M) communication or cyber-physical production systems (CPPS) in an efficient and quantum-safe manner.
The focus of the Dresden University of Technology is on securing wireless communication at the physical level. For this purpose, approaches and methods of signal processing are combined with existing information-theoretical approaches. Thus, more efficient and secure methods can be provided, which thus enable a powerful and at the same time resource-saving provision of security primitives in the industrial environment.
