GANGES2: Modularized anonymization for distributed data pipelines
The collaborative project “Guaranteeing Anonymity in Enterprise Streaming Applications” (GANGES) addresses the question of how anonymity guarantees can be reliably implemented in real-world, data-intensive enterprise applications. With GANGES2, the project now enters its second funding phase. Building on the results of the first funding phase, the focus now shifts to the practical integration, scaling, and optimization of the developed methods.
The goal is to develop modular and reusable anonymization components that can be flexibly integrated into distributed data-sharing pipelines and existing system landscapes. To this end, GANGES2 combines the analysis of real-world use cases with the decomposition of existing methods into reusable core components. One application scenario is the processing of smart meter data in the energy sector.
The project is coordinated by Technische Universität Dresden. Partners are KUGU Home GmbH and Technische Universität Berlin. GANGES2 runs forw two years and is funded by the BMFTR.
