Lecture "Performance Analysis of Computing Systems"
Lecturers:
Prof. Dr. Wolfgang E. Nagel, Dr. Holger Brunst
Description:
Performance Analysis is an essential part in the development, procurement, and usage of computing systems. erformance analysts need detailed knowledge about computing systems and analysis techniques. The goal of this lecture isto provide students with the necessary knowledge from the domains of statistics, probability calculus, experimental design, simulation, and queueing theory using practical examples.
After participating in this lectures students will know the terminology of performance assessment. Furthermore, they will have the ability to design performance experiments, to us simple queueing and simulational models, and to analyze the resulting data.
