CIMTT: Partner for Knowledge and Technology Transfer
CIMTT has been working at the TU Dresden since 1991 and is committed to knowledge and technology transfer. This is supported by CIMTT's own research projects on transfer and current research topics.
CIMTT Centre for Production Engineering and Management
The CIMTT was established in 1991 as a CIM Technology Transfer Centre within the framework of the project of the same name. The task was to support Saxon companies in the introduction of modern CIM technologies. Activity focused on ensuring comprehensive information possibilities on CIM technologies (information events and demonstration possibilities) and consulting services for introduction and selection processes.
CIMTT's work as a transfer centre was continued after the project ended in 1995 in the form of a competence centre at the Faculty of Mechanical Science and Engineering. The main topics were consistently extended to production engineering in the broadest sense and to questions of work organisation and work design, from which the change of name to "CIMTT Centre for Production Engineering and Management" was logically derived.
Since its foundation, CIMTT has financed itself from the implementation of research and transfer projects. CIMTT is now firmly established in the Saxon transfer landscape.
