Portrait of Professor Felsmann
Prof. Clemens Felsmann has been Dean of Studies for the Renewable Energy Systems degree program since November 2012. He has held the Chair of Building Energy Systems and Heat Supply since 2009. He was born in Lübben in 1970.
Without building energy technology and heat supply ... future energy supply tasks cannot be solved while maintaining acceptable living and working conditions.
Being a professor ... creates freedom, also to be able to fulfill the numerous obligations in teaching and research.
Students ... are entitled to high-quality courses and the presence of professors. However, they must make better use of the wide range of offers and educational opportunities.
In the future ... buildings will adapt better to the different habits and requirements of users. The energy supply of cities will be optimized, the use of fossil fuels for heating, cooling and power supply will be reduced to a necessary minimum or even completely eliminated.
If I could study again ... I would try to learn to play a musical instrument in my free time.
Excellence ... hopefully does not mean "more appearance than reality" but is recognition of past achievements and certification of outstanding future prospects by others.
