Hands-On Research at the SMAR 2026 Pre-Conference Tour!

In the lead-up to the 8th International Conference on Smart Monitoring, Assessment, and Rehabilitation of Civil Structures, the Institute of Textile Machinery and High Performance Material Technology (ITM) supported the organization of the pre-conference tour.

During their tour of Dresden and the surrounding region, participants gained exclusive insights into research infrastructures and large-scale testing procedures. In addition to the Institute of Construction Materials at TUD and the Leibniz Institute of Polymer Research Dresden e. V., the ITM also opened its doors and presented current research from the field of Textile Machinery and High Performance Material Technology.

SMAR 2026 brings together international researchers, engineers, companies, and infrastructure operators to discuss the latest developments in monitoring, structural modeling, and innovative materials for structural rehabilitation.
