Oscar Kjellberg Award 2026 for student work in the field of joining technology, thermal cutting, separating, joining: Apply now!

The Kjellberg Foundation awards the Oscar Kjellberg Prize to promote young engineers. A total of three prizes are awarded, each with an endowment of 500 euros .

Eligible for submission are student theses completed at the TUD Dresden University of Technology with an above-average performance in the areas listed below. Furthermore, the date of the defense must not be more than 1.5 years before the end of the submission period. Self-application is also possible.

Proposals for the award will be accepted by the Faculty of Mechanical Science and Engineering until April 15, 2026 by e-mail (e-mail: presse.mw@tu-dresden.de, phone 0351 463 35191).

The following must be submitted for the application

• Curriculum vitae with details of the degree program
• Type of thesis (e.g. dissertation, diploma thesis)
• Title of the thesis
• Brief summary of the content of the thesis with a description of its practical relevance
• Grade and review of the thesis (review if available)
• Extramural commitment
