Mini workshop on "data-driven constitutive modeling and simulation of fracture"
From February 26-28, 2025, the two young researchers from FAU Erlangen-Nuremberg, Dr. Miguel Angel Moreno-Mateos and Dr. Moritz Flaschel, were guests at the Chair of Computational and Experimental Solid Mechanics.
As part of a mini-workshop on the topic of "data-driven constitutive modeling and simulation of fracture", there was a lively exchange with researchers from the Chair and doctoral students from RTG 2868 D³. The focus was on material modeling using modern machine learning methods, the experimental and simulative analysis of crack processes and the implementation of the models using Python.
There were many exciting discussions and an intensive exchange on future collaboration.
The highlight of the mini-workshop was the presentations given by the two guests as part of the IFKM colloquium. They gave impressive presentations on their latest research findings.
