Chair of Energy Process Engineering
The Chair of Energy Process Engineering (EVT) is particularly committed to the processes of energy technology and process engineering in relation to mechanical engineering, chemistry, environmental technology and the basic materials industry. The focus is on processes and plants associated with energy conversion and the refinement and recovery of materials.
The objectives include reducing the use of primary energy, minimising emissions, closing material cycles and the rational use of energy.
The Chair of Energy Process Engineering has around 30 employees.
- 3 research areas: Heat Transfer/ Energy System Technology, Gas Purification, High Temperature Process Engineering
- 1 conference: Kraftwerkstechnisches Kolloquium (Colloquium on power plant technology)
On 17 November 2023, the Chair of Energy Process Engineering celebrated the 70th anniversary of process engineering at TU Dresden. The event was a great success. You can find a short retrospective in the corresponding news article.
