On June 18, 2025, Dr.-Ing. Claas-Jürgen Klasen from the Competence Network Process Engineering Pro3 e.V. was a guest at the Institute of Process Engineering and Environmental Technology (IVU) at TU Dresden. The focus of the meeting was the exchange on common goals and possible approaches for more intensive cooperation between science, network partners and industry.
After a brief welcome by Dr.-Ing. Simon Unz and an introduction to the participating Chairs and working groups, central future topics were discussed in an open round of talks:
-
How can the cooperation between IVU and Pro3 e.V. be structured in an even more targeted manner?
-
What formats can be used to inspire young talent for process engineering - both locally and digitally?
-
What specific points of contact can be identified for joint research and transfer projects?
-
And how can the promotion of students and doctoral candidates be further strengthened?
On the part of TU Dresden, Prof. Dr.-Ing. Markus Schubert (CVT), Prof. Dr. et Ing. habil. Kerstin Eckert (TPG), Dr.-Ing. Sascha Heitkam (TPG), Dr.-Ing. Simon Unz (EVT) and Sandra Leik (Public Relations) took part in the exchange. Dr.-Ing. Claas-Jürgen Klasen was present on behalf of Pro3 e.V.
The meeting not only provided space for technical discussions, but also for new ideas and shared perspectives. We would like to thank everyone involved for the constructive exchange and look forward to further developing our cooperation with the Pro3 e.V. competence network for process engineering.
