The Chair introduces itself

The Chair Transport Processes at Interfaces is a joint appointment between the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and the Helmholtz-Zentrum Dresden-Rossendorf and was set up for the winter semester 2016. We deal with the experimental and numerical analysis of the multiscale transport processes of molecules, ions or particles to various interfaces, which are often key elements in process engineering. An important goal is to improve the resource and energy efficiency of selected classes of processes, such as flotation process.

Prof. Eckert is the coordinator of the EU project Innovative Technologies and Concepts for Fine Particle Flotation: Unlocking Future Fine-grained Mineral and Critical Raw Materials Resources for the EU: ‘FineFuture’ (8 industrial partners from mining and mineral processing industry and 8 academic partners).
