Alexander Acker receives special prize in the "Energy transition & climate protection" category

Alexander Acker was awarded 3rd place in the field of physics and a special prize in the "Energy Transition & Climate Protection" category at the "jugend forscht" regional competition Ostsachen 2024 with his project on " Größenverteilungsanalyse von Wasserstoffblasen während der Elektrolyse von Wasser ".

As part of his “wissenschaftliche Jahresarbeit”, Alexander Acker developed an image analysis algorithm for bubble detection, which he used to analyse the influence of sodium sulphate on the growth of hydrogen bubbles. A better understanding of the bubble growth is important for making water electrolysis more efficient.
