HZDR honors Milad Eftekhari's doctoral achievement with doctoral prize

Dr. Milad Eftekhari received the doctoral prize of the Helmholtz-Zentrum Dresden-Rossendorf (HZDR) for his dissertation on "The effect of ultrafine particles on the interfacial and hydrodynamic properties of multiphase systems". The HZDR Board of Directors presented the award for the doctoral achievement at a ceremony in the main lecture hall of the HZDR on May 17, 2024.

Dr. Eftekhari received the award for his outstanding research on froth flotation, a key process for the resource-saving processing of ores and recycling. In his dissertation, he investigated the special interfacial and hydrodynamic properties of bubbles loaded with very fine particles and their effects on flotation. He developed innovative methods that are recognized and used internationally. His findings are used to increase efficiency and conserve resources in industrial processes.
