Milad Eftekhari receives Award of the Friedrich & Elisabeth Boysen Foundation
Dr. Milad Eftekhari received the Friedrich & Elisabeth Boysen Foundation Award for his dissertation on “The effect of ultrafine particles on the interfacial and hydrodynamic properties of multiphase systems”. The prize was presented on June 22, 2024 on the day of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at the Boulevardtheater Dresden. The Friedrich & Elisabeth Boysen Foundation and TU Dresden award the prize in recognition of particularly outstanding dissertations by young scientists in the field of environmental technology and environmental protection.
Dr. Eftekhari received the award for his excellent research on froth flotation, a key process for the resource-saving processing of ores and recycling. In his dissertation, he investigated the special interfacial and hydrodynamic properties of bubbles loaded with very fine particles and their effects on flotation. He developed innovative methods that are recognized and used internationally. His findings are used to increase efficiency and conserve resources in industrial processes.
