Our Mission
The Chair Transport Processes at Interfaces is a joint appointment between the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and the Helmholtz-Zentrum Dresden-Rossendorf. The objective of the chair is to link fundamental research on interfaces with large-scale industrial applications like froth flotation, hydrogen production or ion extraction.
Who are we?
The chair was set up in 2016 and is steadily growing. Today, we are a team of 20 scientists from 10 different countries. Since our research is very interdisciplinary also our educational background bridges mechanical, process, and electrical engineering as well as chemistry and physics. Likewise, we are happy to welcome national and international students.
A key responsibility is to transfer scientific activities into our teaching activities. Consequently, we offer facultative lectures and lab courses. We also offer a variety of topics for student research projects to students from any discipline.
