Thermoelectric generator
Development of a flexible thermoelectric generator (TEG) on the basis of specially printed non-woven structures
In the frame of the project a printable non-woven substrate material with a defined pore-structure will be developed that will be wetted with a thermoelectric polymer and saturated throughout its thickness. The goal of the project is to coat particularly curved surfaces (for example pipes) with this TEG-composite and as a consequence to develop new application fields for parts with complex geometries. The dependence of the thermoelectric properties of the composite upon fabrication parameters will be measured in a test device (figure 1).
