ECCM23 in Dresden
Following the successful European Conferences on Composite Materials in Nantes and Oslo, the ECCM is coming to Dresden in 2028. This means that one of the most important international forums for composite materials will take place in a city that has been synonymous with cutting-edge research and innovation for decades.
The decision in favor of Dresden underlines its leading role as a location for pioneering developments in microelectronics, nanotechnology, robotics and materials science. The strong network of TU Dresden, Fraunhofer and Leibniz Institutes and numerous industrial partners offers ideal conditions for this.
The Institute of Lightweight Engineering and Polymer Technology (ILK) at TU Dresden will be hosting the conference. Together with its partners, it stands for a research culture that works in an interdisciplinary manner, thinks in a practical way and opens up new paths in materials and lightweight engineering research. Topics such as functional integration, bio-based composites, digitalization and sustainability shape the scientific landscape in Dresden - and will also determine the programme of ECCM23.
The ILK would like to thank the European Society for Composite Materials (ESCM) for their trust and close cooperation. With ECCM23, Dresden 2028 will become the meeting place for the international composite materials community - for exchange, new ideas and shared future prospects.
